1 • Introduction

The Cyber-Islam Portal constitutes a hypertextual structure whose fundamental purpose is to inform users in a fast, easy and timely manner in relation to the university courses carried out at all world universities in the field of Islam. It is a map of all universities, museums, TV and radio broadcasters, publishing houses in the Islamic world and / or linked to the culture of the Middle East.

When you browse our website, we collect information and personal data about you. For this reason, in accordance with the provisions of the European Regulation on data processing and protection no. 679/16 “GDPR”), we have created this document (hereinafter “Privacy Policy”) in order to describe what personal data we collect, the purposes and methods of treatment of the same and the security measures we adopt to protect them.

This Privacy Policy constitutes the information to interested parties issued pursuant to art. 13 and 14 of the GDPR and was drafted in accordance with Recommendation no. 2/2001, adopted on 17 May 2001 by WP 29, in relation to the minimum requirements for online data collection in the European Union. Furthermore, we inform you that this Privacy Policy applies only to the website www.cyber-islam.university and does not apply to third-party websites that may be accessed via links or banners within the Website or App.

2 • The Data Controller of personal data

The computer systems used to operate the Services acquire, during their normal operation, some of your personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. We use this data for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Services and to check their correct functioning. We delete the data collected in this way immediately after their processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of computer crimes committed against the Services.

4 • Purpose of the processing

Our web portal aims to guarantee global access to all universities in the Islamic world to inform the Muslim community and those with interests regarding the studies of Islam.

The navigation data collected through the Site are aimed exclusively at statistical evaluations and are processed in an aggregate manner.

Releasing your contact details via the form is necessary in order to provide you with the requested information. Your refusal to provide them would prevent us from executing the communication with you.

There are no other and further purposes.

6 • COOKIE POLICY – Information collected through cookies

Cookies are small files sent by websites visited by users and stored on the device used to access those sites. 7 • Methods of data processing and data retention

We process your personal data with the help of electronic tools and always in compliance with the security requirements appropriate to the processing carried out. Our security measures may also include contractual tools with any contractor (e.g. service providers) in order to ensure the protection of the security and confidentiality of your personal data in compliance with regulatory provisions.

We keep your personal data released optionally only for the time strictly necessary to provide you with the answers and information requested. The navigation data will be stored in aggregate form for the sole purpose of improving the service of the Site for a period of two years.

9 • Rights of the interested party. At any time you can exercise the rights recognized by the articles. 15-22 of the GDPR, to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the same data and to know its content and origin, verify its accuracy or request its integration or updating, or correction.
As an interested party you have the right to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form, as well as to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their treatment.
