The Cluster of Sciences and Applied Sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University will be hosting its World Congress on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in the exciting city of Doha, where the 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place.
Nanoscience and Nanotechnology have emerged as a priority area for scientists across different disciplines. In Qatar’s National Vision 2030, sustainable development focuses on aspects of finding a balance between preserving the environment, managing natural resources, economic, human and social development. Nanoscience and Nanotechnology represent today a fertile ground for interdisciplinary interactions between various areas of basic sciences and offer new tools that can be harnessed to solve current problems faced by mankind. Given its range of potential applications, Nanoscience has known major developments, which have revolutionized current technologies, and led to more effective and precise applications in various fields including medical, engineering, energy production, and environmental protection.
