Arabic Calligraphy with Citi J. Yousoff  (June – Dec 2019)

Citi J. Yousoff from Kelantan, Malaysia, is qualified with Ijaza from the Venerated Master Hasan Celebi in Turkey for Thuluth and Naskh scripts. Her works are centred around the traditional arts of Islamic calligraphy with the elements of traditional Malay Islamic motifs and contemporary art.

Date                      : Starting from 30^th June 2019 (Every Sunday)

Duration              : June 2019 till December 2019 (Consist of 18 classes)

Time                     : 2.00 pm – 5.30 pm

Course Details

1. Participants must have a basic knowledgeor basic course of calligraphy, at least in Riq’ah.
2. Students with experience will learn two Arabic scripts: Nasakhand Thuluth.
3. The teacher will guide the students on how to write Arabic alphabets followed by joints and full sentences thereafter, and how to properly cut the reed pen or qalam.
4. Classes will be conducted in both Malayand English Language.
